Mountain Bike Rides

Bear Mountain
Length: 14.7-mile loop on singletrack and dirt road
Skill Level: Advanced, difficult dirt road climb
Elevation gain: 2, 320 feet
About: The ride begins at Beaver Creek Campground east of Twisp. From there ride up the 4225 road about .5 mile until the fork; keep right on the 4225 road. At 4.6 miles the road will fork again; keep the the right. At 6.1 miles is South Fork Meadows, keep on going, passing over South Fork Beaver Creek at 6.6 miles. At 7 miles there is a four-way intersection; follow the 200 road to the right. Finally at 8.6 miles is the Bear Mountain Trail #442. It’s now mostly downhill singletrack from here. At 11.2 miles into the trip the trail exits on to the 4335 road. Hang a left back down to the campground.

Black Bear Trail
Length: 9.1-mile loop on doubletrack, singletrack and dirt road
Skill Level: intermediate with an easy to moderate hill climb
Elevation gain: 480 feet

Cedar Creek
Length: 12.4 miles out and back on singletrack
Skill Level: expert, rough and technical climb
Elevation gain: 1860 feet

Cutthroat Lake
Length: about 4 miles out and back on a singletrack
Skill Level: intermediate
Elevation gain: 480 feet

Eagle Lakes
Length: 13 miles out and back on singletrack
Skill Level: advanced, long hill climb
Elevation gain: 2,340 feet

Foggy Dew
Length: 27 mile loop on singletrack and road
Skill Level: advanced, bunch of hillclimbing
Elevation gain: 5140 feet

Lightning Creek
Length: 17-mile loop on singletrack and dirt road
Skill Level: intermediate with a hard hill climb
Elevation gain: 2,620
